AFCEA is an international, professional association whose main goals are to promote industry-government cooperation in developing effective information, command, control, communications, computer and intelligence capabilities and to contribute to the professional education of those interested in scientific fields.

Scholarship awards are given to recognize individuals learning and developing such skills throughout the community. The AFCEA forum makes possible the exchange of ideas and information, discussions of current problems and their solutions and the identification of future requirements in these vital areas.

Scholarships are awarded to students studying in the disciplines related to communications, intelligence and information systems. These fields of study encompass but are not limited to electronics, electrical or communications engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or technology, and information management.

Science fair monetary awards are given to high school and middle school students to assist in the further development of their individual research. Our 1993 winner was also the AFCEA National Science Fair winner of a $1,000 scholarship and a trip to Washington, D.C. for his family.

High school science teachers are given financial assistance with class science projects. These projects, at the discretion of the teacher, have ranged from model rocketry to equipment to the Internet.

AFCEA, a non-profit association, has proudly served as a bridge between industry and government since 1946.
