ALAMO AFCEA Scholarship Program Overview

One of the primary missions of the Alamo Chapter of AFCEA is to promote education in technical fields of study through the use of scholarships and grants. Our purpose is to help alleviate the shortage of people with technical degrees in this country. Every year the Alamo Chapter allocates a significant portion of our budget to fund these educational programs. For the spring 2008 calendar year we have set aside over $60,000 for the various programs described below.


Scholarship and Education Programs for 2008

  • Alamo Chapter Academic Scholarships for College Students - $25,000
  • UTSA - Alamo Chapter, Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association Annual Scholarship - $25,000
  • Enlisted Education Grants - $10,000
  • Science Teaching Tools Award - $6000
  • San Antonio BEST - Up to $5000

UTSA scholarship applicants must apply through UTSA. All UTSA scholarship information can be accessed on their web site at http://www.utsa.edu/scholarships.
