CAREER FAIR
November 3-4, 2009
Alamo AFCEA is hotsting a Career Fair November 3 – 4 in conjunction with the 2009 Technology Symposium to assist current and former military and government personnel transition to the civilian community, as well as helping the community at large advance in their careers.
This is much more than a “Job Fair.” There will be speakers from government and industry discussing various aspects of career advancement. Topics include personal branding and professional networking, the “New Resume” dos and don’ts, a military to civilian transition timeline, and a panel of senior executives discussing what the economy now holds for the job hunter. Companies from around the country will be here looking for the best of the best to hire.. NOW!.
The Career Fair is open to everyone but is placing special emphasis on three areas:
- People holding security clearances (San Antonio has the second largest concentration of people with security clearances outside of the DC area.)
- Technical personnel (we are known as on of the fastest growing technical centers in the region – think Cyber Command, Rack Space, AFISRA and CPSG)
- Medical personnel (Ft Sam Houston and Brook Army Medical Center, BAMC, have been designated the center for all DoD medical training)
