Chief Master Sergeant Michelle M. Stavig
Chief Master Sergeant Michelle M. Stavig serves as the Superintendent, 26th Cyberspace Operations Group, 67th Cyberspace Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. She is the principle enlisted adviser to the Group Commander ensuring the group’s 850 cyber warfighters are mission ready to provide dynamic and integrated network defense capabilities and response actions in the Air Force Information Network (AFIN) worldwide. These defense capabilities guarantee freedom of maneuver and mission assurance directly supporting warfighting operations around the globe.
Chief Stavig has served in multiple enlisted career fields to include Ground Radio Maintenance, Computer Systems Programming, and Cyber Warfare Operations. As a Cyber Warfare Operator, she earned the National Security Agency’s second highest operational certification, completed over 850 cyberspace missions, and was vital to one of the most successful cyberspace operations in the history of the Department of Defense. She has held positions in Maryland, Texas, Virginia, and Nevada.
Prior to assuming her current position, she served as the 624th Operations Center Superintendent where she led a team of 180 Airmen providing centralized command and control of Air Force Cyber (AFCYBER) forces comprised of over 800 operators executing 7 weapon systems in 12 units across the globe. read more...
