Abstract

Agile project management is now a requirement for GSA contracts, making it imperative for small, medium and large businesses to get on board with agile. In this workshop, we will help you establish a baseline of vocabulary and knowledge about agile product development methods. We will also explain how this approach differs from traditional methods. Agile is a mindset, not a specific tool, methodology or process. In the workshop we will discuss leading Agile frameworks like Scrum, Scrum@Scale, Scaled Agile, LESS and Kanban, their values, terminology, roles, and ceremonies. We’ll also explore how you can start your journey toward adopting an agile approach. While Agile adoption at the organizational level creates a transparent, responsive, and flexible environment that is capable of handling change in the market, the reality is that not every project or product will benefit from an Agile approach. In this workshop we will also discuss which projects are a good fit for an agile approach and which are not.
