AFCEA is an international organization that serves its members by providing a forum for the ethical exchange of information (see www.afcea.org). AFCEA is dedicated to increasing knowledge through the exploration of issues relevant to its members in information technology, communications, and electronics for the defense, homeland security and intelligence communities, and other government entities with components supporting these missions.
The Alamo Chapter of AFCEA (www.alamoafcea.org) supports this mission by fostering strong, trusted relationships with government organizations and industry partners who are both local and global in their support of US national defense, and in collaboration with Allies/Coalition Partners, academia, and civic organizations.
Alamo AFCEA plans/executes monthly and annual events that promote professional development for those serving in the Cyber Operations/Defense, Communications, Computer, Command, Control, Intelligence and Electronic Warfare disciplines. To this end, the chapter provides financial (scholarships and grants), advisory and professional mentorship support for STEM Education at all levels - K-through collegiate graduate-level studies - as well as military veteran support in our Wounded Warrior & Military Families Endowment Fund and other civic support activities.
